Welcome to the
Fishguard Cardiac Rehabilitation Group Established 2007 |
News - 5th October 2007 Having had a weeks break from Rehabilitation, members greeted each other at the Parrog, Newport, Sailing Club car park on Friday 5th October 07, with much joy an exultation to partake in a walk around the Newport estuary under the guidance of Jaci Thomas, Cynthia Fells & Andrew Dugmore. The medical professionals Irene Hartup & Terry Main were to hand in case of any untoward problems, which thankfully there were none. What made the walk even more enjoyable was the brilliant weather conditions and the enormous collection of wild Foul & birds gathered on the wetlands of the estuary. We were also rewarded with a graceful “take off” of all the geese, supposedly on their daily exercise, perhaps following the Cardiac Rehabilitations’ example. Members of Neyland, Narberth, Pembroke Dock & Tenby Rehab Groups, thoroughly enjoyed the magnificence scenery and company, joined us on the walk. Over a refreshing “cup of tea” in the Parrog restaurant after the walk, the buzz of new friendships being made were clearly evident in the jovial conversations and laughter heard, which indeed was therapeutic in the making. Christopher Joseph has had his “Key Hole” surgery and is on the road to recovery. Don Evans of Trevine is making slow but good progress to better health. Iris Grover is unable to attend due to other medical problems. We wish them all a speedy recovery back to better health. A united Christmas party of all the Rehabilitation Groups in Pembrokeshire will be held at the Withybush Centre on Wednesday 12th December 07. Our own Festive party is currently on the drawing board and hopefully will be resolved at our next Rehabilitation meeting to be held on Friday 12th October 07 at Fishguard Leisure Centre. John P. & Terry G. conducted the weekly raffle, which was won by Shirley Inman & her dog “Charlie”. A list of future walks can be found on our website www.FishguardCRG.co.uk as so generously sponsored by ePembs. Or for more information either contact Terry Grover on 01239 820607 or John Palmer on 01348 872240. The general public are more than welcome to join us on any of our conducted walks. |
