Committee members Shirley Inman & John Palmer representatives of the Fishguard Cardiac Rehabilitation Group, attended the Healthcare Inspectorate Wales & Wales Audit, Forum held at Withybush Hospital on Wednesday 17th & 19th October 07 in reviewing the “Trust’s” progress against the National Service Framework on Coronary Heart disease. With ten other representatives from other local Rehabilitation Groups in Pembrokeshire, the voice of cardiac Patients in Pembrokeshire was well and truly aired to the Inspectorate & Welsh Audit team, insomuch that the teams have not yet gathered the full picture regarding the way ahead for the future Rehabilitation programme and will at a later date re-visit Pembrokeshire to address the problem with the Local Health Board, of which the local Rehabilitation Groups will be informed of the progress made.

On Friday 19th October 07 members welcomed back to the Rehabilitation Group, Christopher Joseph after his recent surgery at Withybush Hospital, now looking in the best of health.

Members were invited to select a venue for their Christmas Luncheon from three locations of which the Harp Inn, Letterston proved to be the more favourable. The lunch has now been booked and will be held on Friday 21st December 07 at the Harp Inn starting at 12.30pm, so place your booking with the secretary to avoid disappointment.

Secretary offered samples of “T” & Polo shirts with a suitably embossed logo to the members for their preferred choice, of which a popular choice was made.

On Saturday 20th October 07 the Chairman Terry Grover & the Secretary were invited to a wonderful “Presentation night” at the Camrose Community Centre to receive a cheque for £460.00 from the Camrose Vintage Working Day Committee & its members, which did the Chairman on behalf of the Fishguard Cardiac Rehabilitation Group receive & responded accordingly with grateful thanks.

Having won the last raffle Shirley Inman donated a magnificent raffle prize for the meeting, which was won by Christopher Joseph.
