Welcome to the
Fishguard Cardiac Rehabilitation Group Established 2007 |
News - 6th June 2008 On Tuesday 3rd June 08 a Committee meeting was held at the Fishguard Bay Hotel where another four Cardiac members volunteered their services to serve as Committee members, namely Mr & Mrs Flude, Mrs Dawson and Mr Phillips. The Chairman, Mr Terry Grover was encouraged and relieved with the sudden influx of volunteers, and welcomed them all, wishing them much pleasure and happiness in helping fellow Cardiac members of the Fishguard Group. Friday 6th June 08 saw a slight decline in attendance of members probably cause by the beautiful summery weather conditions and having the opportunity for members to cut their lawns. However those that did attend were once again treated to our two budding Fitness entrepreneurs Amy Johnson & Sian Jenkins from Ysgol Bro Gwaun sixth form. The warming up session for the group was taken by Sian in excellent style, whilst Amy assisted the more senior members of the Rehabilitation Group in their exercises and balancing modes. A round of applause was given to the two young Ladies for they’re sterling efforts in helping others. Within the month of June there is an overabundance of birthday celebrations in particular, one of our new committee members, Mr Alun Phillips whose birthday was recognised by a rendering of “Happy Birthday” which was sung in perfect harmony over a cuppa and blood pressure checks. Due to staff training the following changes to the June Cardiac Rehabilitation programme will be made. Friday 13th June 08 there will not be any Cardiac Rehabilitation at all. Wednesday 25th June 08 the “Step2health” walk at Angle is Cancelled. Change of times for sessions will change as on Friday 4th July 08. Group 1 (Phase 4) will start at 10.00am until 12.30pm. Group 2 (Phase 3) will commence at 1.00pm thro to 4.00pm. On Monday 9th June 08 many members from Rehabilitation Groups from all over Pembrokeshire attended the Steps2Health circular walk around the grounds of Scolton Manor in glorious weather conditions, and at the end of the stroll that wonderful social chat over a hot cup of tea, putting right all those little aches and pains, which tend to develop with us all. Our next regular meeting of “Terry and his pacemakers” will not be until 20th June 08 at the Fishguard Leisure Centre with Phase 4 Group starting at 10.45 am and Phase 3 starting at 2.00 pm.
