To add more excitement to the Rehabilitation Programme yet more different cardiovascular exercise were put into practice on Friday 17th October 08, by our professionals, which the members had funded some of the exercise items themselves and indeed through the generosity of donations from the general public. The new variant of exercises encouraged more enthusiasm and depleted apathy in keeping to the same regular work routines, which help to build those pulse rates.

Many congratulations to Irene our Cardiac Nursing Specialist having completed 30 years as a State Registered Nurse and for managing the Cardiac Rehabilitation Programme in all of the Cardiac Rehab: Centres within Pembrokeshire since the programme began. Irene has a heart of gold not only for looking after our well-being during Rehabilitation sessions but also for all the excellent work “In kind”, which she donates in dedicating and organising events so as to promote a more healthy heart to the general public. Any problem or anxiety, which may accrue with either patient or Carer any time are put to right or investigated spontaneously, by our “Florence Nightingale” and she is a passport to any Doctor or Consultant’s examination area.

Best wishes to better health were extended to Gerry Williams, Norman Shale, Iris Grover and Angie Flude all regular attendees at the Rehabilitation Programme. Your presence is greatly missed.

Pembrokeshire Association for Voluntary Services (PAVS) will be holding they’re third “Funding Fair” on Tuesday 18th November 08 at Queen’s Hall, Narberth, an event all voluntary organisations should attend. All bookings for the occasion must be made by 12th November 08.
