News - 19th September 2008

Sadly due to unforeseen circumstances there was no Rehabilitation programme on Friday 19th September 08. The Cardiac Nursing Specialist tried to contact members by either letter or telephone to apologise for the short notice of the cancellation, regarding the Rehab programme. Some members took the option of enjoying the more physical “punishment” in using the Fishguard Leisure Centre Gymnasium under the watchful eye of Fitness Instructor Ian, who really was delighted to have such an influx of so many people.

It is encouraging to report Clive Jackson is now out of Hospital and is convalescing at home. Cardiac Members send their best wishes to him for a speedy recovery to better health.

Sincere happy Birthday wishes to Chris Joseph a stalwart member of the Group who celebrated the occasion on 17th September.

With only 12 weeks 5days to Christmas, Committee members are particularly busy in finding a venue for holding a Christmas Lunch, numerous venues have been suggested, and are awaiting members’ choice.

The united Pembrokeshire Cardiac meeting held on 23rd September 08 at the Jolly Sailor, Burton was very productive and produce some fruitful ideas and suggestions toward fund-raising and future social activities. A more in-depth report will be forthcoming at a later date.
