News - 28th March 2008

Members & friends on a some what blustery day, joining the Step2Health walk on Friday 28th March 08 allegedly at the visitors car park St Davids were completely baffled to find the meeting place closed to all traffic due to Pembrokeshire County Council re-surfacing modifications. However, members were re-routed to the Caerfai Bay car park, which overlooked the fantastic views of Caerfai Bay, St Davids headlands and coastal paths.

After much catching up to do with local news and gossip, having missed one weeks Rehabilitation due to Good Friday, Paul Morris walk leader addressed and advised all the assembled walkers and they’re K9 pets from various locations across Pembrokeshire of the route to be taken and the necessary precautions to be taken along the rugged coastal path to St Non’s Well, back to St Davids Main Street. It was clearly evident some people had gorged themselves on those chocolate Easter goodies and were well out of condition, however everyone thoroughly enjoyed the walk as could be heard from the various conversations over a wonderful, welcomed mug of coffee/tea in the delightful Jones’ Café Main Street St David’s.

Dilwyn Davies is still in Withybush Hospital receiving treatment and members send their best regards to him for a speedy relief to sufferings and back to better health. Alun Phillips of Scleddau is off to Morriston Hospital for his six month check-up on Friday 4th April 08.

Our next regular meeting will be held at the Fishguard Leisure Centre on Friday 4th April 08, with the first session starting at 10.45am and the seconded session at 2.00pm.
