Welcome to the
Fishguard Cardiac Rehabilitation Group Established 2007 |
News - 20th March 2009 On Friday 20th March 09 the first day of Spring in beautiful weather conditions our Cardiac Nursing Specialist, Irene could not understand the reason for the high blood pressure and fast pulse rates recordings from some of the male patients attending the Rehab: session, not realising the hidden passionate feelings for the Welsh team playing Ireland on Saturday 21st March 09, rugby international at the Cardiff Millennium Stadium, until noticing the conspicuous absence of a few rugby fanatic, Cardiac Members. All members gave a warm welcome to Shirley Inman after her period of incapacity with coronary problems, which are now thankfully showing signs of improving. Norman & Judith Shale from St Dogmaels paid a courteous visit to the Group, with Norman still not coming to terms with his newly installed “Pacemaker”. Best wishes for better health to Terry Grover & his wife Iris, both having submitted their apologies due to a back injury & sickness. The secretary was kept extremely busy receiving and recording members contributions for the forthcoming Holiday at the Isle of Wight, which is to held during the period 11th May – 16th May 09. Members that have not yet finalized their remittance for the holiday are requested to complete by Friday 27th March 09. Monies are still coming in for the “Comic Relief” day held on 13th March 09 and hopefully will top the £700.00 mark. A very big thanks to you all for the excellent support given. The secretary announced that due to domestic reasoning the planned “Coffee Morning” to be held on Thursday 16th April 09 by kind permission of the proprietor of the Royal Oak, Fishguard has had to be cancelled. He also requested all unsold raffle books, counterfoils and monies for the “Grand Draw” to be returned to the secretary by Friday 27th March 09. The Draw will take place at the Fishguard Leisure Centre on Friday 3rd April 09 at 12.00 noon, officiated by the Mayor of Fishguard & Goodwick, Cllr David Williams. Our next meeting of Terry and his Pacemakers will be on Friday 27th March 09 at the Fishguard Leisure Centre with the first session starting at 09.30 am. For more information either contact Terry Grover on 01239 820607 or John Palmer on 01348 872240 or why not visit our website www.FishguardCRG.co.uk as so generously sponsored by ePembs. With the clocks going forward on Saturday/Sunday you will now have an extra hour for that extra exercise walk. Help us to help you to enjoy life to the full. There is life after Heart failure. |
