July 16th BBQ

After much hard work in the preparation of food by Rita and the meticulous grooming of the garden by Viv, the BBQ held at MIN-YR-AFON, LETTERSTON, on Tuesday 16th July, proved a complete success for Club members and hosts. The weather for once was very kind towards our outside activity. Taking comfort and shelter from our acquired marquee, this time, from the sunrays rather than the customary rain between showers climate indeed made it a perfect and enjoyable day for all.

With cornucopia amounts of food and continuous flow of beverages, served by two young ladies on temporary release from THE HIGH SCHOOL, FISHGUARD, Miss Angharad Eynon of Wolfscastle & Miss Amie Hotchin of Fishguard, who proved more than their weight in gold by continuous & relentless hard work, in serving people that have been struck down by this cruel, crippling and destructive complaint, STROKE. You are both a credit, not only to yourselves but to your parents, school and generation. WELL DONE AND THANK YOU BOTH.

Raffle prizes were plentiful, donated by so many which made Angharad and Amie's task of selling tickets a pleasant and rewarding task in raising £45.00 for Club funds. THANK YOU ALL for YOUR KINDNESS & GENEROUSITY.

The Chairman Mr Michael Lewis gave thanks to all the other ladies that sacrificed their time and effort on the domestic front, SUE, ANN & MARY.

A speedy recovery to Judi, who has now been released from hospital and is now convalescing at St Teresa's.

The Club is currently looking for volunteers that can sacrifice 4 or 5 hours per month, to assist the Committee in respective duties.

Our next meeting will be at St Teresa's on Tuesday 6th August 02, 1.30pm-3.30pm.
