Before battlement took place, the Chairman, Mr Michael Lewis warmly welcomed four new members, Dorothy & Roger Beckwith who hail from Goodwick and Megan & Len Lawrence from Letterston. All Club members gave a rapturous round of applause to them.

It was reported that our President, Mr Ben Fenemore had once again been admitted into Withybush Hospital to receive medical investigation and resolution to his medical condition of which, the Club’s thoughts and prayers are extended to him for a speedy recovery back to better health.

Apologies were also given from Bryn Davies, Billy Affley, Olivia & Vaughan Evans and Doreen Swailes.

Members were reminded that there will not be a Club meeting on 18th May 04 as the majority of members will be at Llandrindod Wells on their respite holiday.

And yet another member joined the happy “free bus brigade” in the name of Judi Chapman, of which a rendering of “Happy Birthday” was sung in unison, lead by our resident Tenor, Terry Williams.

A reminder was given of the forth-coming Coffee Morning on Thursday 10th June 04 at The Ship & Anchor, High Street, Fishguard. Hoping we have not clashed with any other organisation in their quest for local support, knowing that we have given plenty of advance publicity for this event.

With quiz forms issued one could detect that sense of puzzlement on members foreheads having brought the wrong books of knowledge with them. The composer of the quiz sat back with a broad grin on her face, knowing full well that the members “grey substance” would be put fully to the test. Even our regular Master Mind, Elwyn Evans & his wife Marjorie were in some bewilderment. Our congratulations was awarded as outright winner of the afternoons quiz to our newest member Roger Beckwith, with Graham Bindon & Brian Williams coming a very close second.

Holiday arrangements were brought to members notice, particularly pick-up points and times on Sunday 16th May 04, which are repeated just in case: -

2. 10.15 am Letterston Square
