The venue for the Club's regular meeting on Tuesday 17th February 04 was at the Harp Inn, Letterston, of which 34 members enjoyed the culinary skills of Giles and his supporting staff, that afforded a very warm welcome to us all at the hostelry.
Sadly a few members were unable to join us due to poor health and other pressing commitments, of which the Chairman, Mr Michael Lewis gave apologies from, Joyce & Tony Green, Olivia & Vaughan Evans, Bryn & Sylvia Davies, Rita & Doreen.
For those members not able to attend the Club's Special meeting held on Thursday 29th January 04, Michael gave a brief appraisal as to the special meeting, reasons mainly so that some amendments could be made to the Club's current Constitution as agreed and adopted on 29th January 04, a copy of which is available to all Club members by request.
A rendering of Happy Birthday was sung in choral unison to Graham Bindon, who responded with gratitude.
During the selling of raffle tickets by Brian & Judi an auction of a Welsh Dressed Doll took place. Mrs Sylvia Dickin gave the highest bid and raised the Club's coffers by a considerable sum. Thank you Sylvia.
Once again due to the high number of raffle prizes, which took a considerable time to draw, not only was the Club's Treasurer happy with the raffle's realisation, but quite a number of members whose favourite words were 'I never win anything” will now have to find a new phrase to avoid participation!
Our next meeting will be at St Teresa's Convent Hall on 2nd March 04, when we shall be entertained once again by the Milford Haven Line Dancing team ‘Outlaws' under the direction of Rita Webb. If you just want to sit and watch or join in the dancing, it is entirely up to you. I can give assurances you will thoroughly enjoy the afternoon what ever you decide.
