The 22 members who came to the meeting on Tuesday were saddened to be told the news that Glyn had passed away earlier in the day. We all offer our heartfelt sympathies to Lilian and her family. We will miss him.

We then wished Ken many happy returns of the day before. Mike introduced Mrs Margaret Povey who gave us an excellent insight into the world of Antiques dealing. She had asked members to bring some antiques so that she could describe and value them. I think one or two had pleasant surprises. She told us some anecdotes about her time in Antiques. One showed how you should not offer on an item for sale until it had actually come from under the auctioneers hammer in one piece! After a very interesting hour we adjourned for tea, coffee, biscuits and the raffle. The winner of the bottle of wine was Margaret, our guest speaker. Deservedly so, we hope the wine is as good as your talk, Margaret. Thank you. (Click here to see the photographs)

Two jars of Seville Marmalade made by Judy, who was unable to be with us, were won by Elwyn and Joyce M. The mystery prize went to Albert.
